How I would raised my daughter (Building a better human being)

Image
In her attempts to get gold stars for her decision to nuke my Mormon wife out of my life, Khari made it clear that she thought I would be a bad father. Announcer, please . . .  How to produce an artistic genius--slide one   "Weighing in at six pounds, six ounces, we have the Riverside Shakespeare . Know the first line to that poem, or song, then this is the book for you--it has the indexes. Heavy, too. Raise a daughter hefting this once a month, and you build Supergirl , able to crush bricks." During my community college years (my 40s), me and another parent of a daughter got exposed to the idea that the way to keep Shakespeare (or any great author) alive in your memory was constant refreshment.  We had a professor who read a Shakespeare play a month. Toss in the Homer and the Milton from the class, and her daughter was sure  to have exposure to classic literature. I know that at least one kid grew up in a more enriched environment, thanks to that idea. I know becaus...

Golf course used by witches (President not amused)

Image
For those who care about such things, yes, I did indeed take part in the Global Bind Trump ritual this month. Used the Denver City Golf Course for my Scottish witchcraft. After months of preparation, which book got used? A planned part of my Global Bind Trump "if I have to do this every damn month while he's in the Oval Office" was to do at least one ritual on the public golf course. At this point in the blog post, I must say that I am sorry to my secret Mormon wife. She thought that my use of the public golf course as a power base for black magick and witch war activities to be wrong; she might had a golfer as a brother, given the attitude.  So before I did my ritual "in the dark of the night," I said a prayer at the Catholic Church. Virgin Mother, if it must be done, let it be done. Again, sorry Ginny, it was that Catholic Church that supports that school. That one which I threatened to send my own children to, if they misbehaved. Yes, that horrible place. I s...

Have you allowed the Forty-Two Judges into your life (By Names and Images)

Image
In the official godform creation sheets provided to newly elected Hierophants worldwide, the Forty-Two Assessors of the Judgement are described as "Various Heads and Colors." A papyrus from the times of the Greek-Roman Egyptians . . . good times. Meanwhile, there is that prick who is using this as his source Image Papyrus. With Westcott's Names. Add in a modern translation, and a decent victim, off we go boom! How can you not love this papyrus? Damaged as it is. All dolled up. Maybe used in ritual once or twice.  All in good causes, we swear. Having declared a Mash-Up weekend, where would I get if I do exactly that:  NOM's 42 Judges' Names plus Images=xyz? What direction do we read in?  Osiris, the most important symbol of the setting, telling us to read Left to Right; so we will designate the Leftmost Assessor to be Number One.  And in this papyrus, he has a human-head. As he does in the Papyrus of Ani. Usekh-nemtet, you are good to go, as soon as we figure out t...

Buddha Recovery Bay (Meet the patient Ensign Lady Magpie) Back to the New Egyptian Space Empire

Image
For those who have been following the Cloud Weather Station Drama, yesterday bird sighting in the Buddha Worship Lounge, was an slightly wounded female magpie. Best chair for keeping an eye out for that evil Hood Cat, Blue. My intent in moving the chairs was to make a clear line of sight between the kitchen window and the Buddha station--in front of which I placed a bowl of water.  Don't judge me, for my mixed pagan magician beliefs and practices. Turns out that the arrangement was bad for human vision. But I was loading the dishwasher, and that might have been more important. Because I want to go write science fiction, and the kitchen being a mess is going to stop the Flow at some point.  I am a Virgo Sun, Cancer Rising, Scorpio Moon, with a Leo Mercury . . . my only Fire.  To say that I am overly "anything" is probably an understatement. It was slightly better when I still had my Demon; I had distance between me and the emotions. Now, I am at the center of the bloody cr...

Cloud report (Worry about my own safety)

Image
Yesterday, I laughed about putting Dead Rich in Lightning Danger. Then there is me . . .  Looking up, what do we see? There be rain clouds here. Look, clouds. Nothing better to do. Give me a camera. Nice picture. Headed towards the east. Can you see the magpie in the corner? Hide birdy, hide from the hail.

Old Man Farmer Weather on standby (not a farmer son)

Image
It's looking like rain, so I emptied the Farmer's Rain Gauge of Plague Bugs. Old Man Farmer Weather Station all ready to go. As you can see, Dead Man Rich has agreed to sit nearby to report what a lightning strike feels like--just in case, the station gets hit. You laugh. A cherry tree once took a hit instead of my grandmother's house--scared the Nazi Sweet Dog half to death--might save a life. Clouds be here. Clouds be there. Look, more clouds.  Mordor looms over us. Soon to be cut down by a new landlord. Enjoy while it's still forest land. As you can see, no matter what direction the wind shifts, we will get a drop or two of precious water in our bucket. Here on Dune, Water is Life. You cannot have enough. This mulberry tree is not getting enough water on Dune. Not on Dune. No, sadly not a Sand Worm anywhere. Still, you have to be careful. There is dangerous wildlife about. Crazy dangerous creatures. Walnut Killers. Beware of them.  I see you, Black Walnut Thief Numb...

Fireworks heard and seen (My cat asks you to please Stop)

Image
When I finally calmed "Khari's" cat, Ragnar, down enough, I ventured forth. Saw that my Hood was lit up. Also saw a rather heavy duty Judge Fire Marshal bike glaring at my neighbors. They had to finish up quickly. Honestly, this is nothing. I wish I had film from the year that Khari went out of the country, and the granddaughter turned a magical age; they brought a wagon load of fireworks--me and Meltdown Girl watched for three hours--heavy duty. Seriously, Sagebrush Rodeo does much more danger.

Thirteen Aphorisms for Wiccans (Do I have to say it is humor)

Image
Recently, during the library reorganization (making room for an occult shop), I found a list of Aphorisms for Wiccans that I printed out. I now inflict it on you (source unknown): Sadly, not going to grow up to be pagan; no, angry Christian (OFM [Open Full Moon] personal experience--sorry). Truth: For a lot of us, life sucks, then you die. For Wiccans, life sucks; but it doesn't suck as much, because thanks to reincarnation, you get to die in at least thirteen times.  News flash: Pagan gatherings would be more restrained, if participants thought they'd ever would have to work again in the real world.  Influence: A Witch's Power is directly proportional to the number of other witches who hate her. A Witch's Intent is inversely proportional to the number of other witches who like her. Being social and magically math-able are not mutually agreeable goals.  Honesty: Black magick is any witchcraft that works for you--but not for me. Confession: Sex is for Wiccans, what canni...
