By Name and Image are all powers awakened by the initiates of the Hermetic tradition.

| My study book before I cut it up like fish bait. |
What this means once you scrape off the code is that by vibrating the proper name of a goddess and picturing its image on the magical planes, we can invoke that god's power.
For any set of gods . . . even the Forty-Two Assessors of the Negative Confession.
The official instructions have always frustrated me as a Cold War Ronald Reagan "Russia has a Black Magick program magician . . . you can't prove that they didn't have one . . . is that the Hermetic Golden Dawn official instructions about the image of the Forty-Two is:
"Various human and animal heads"
And they give us absolutely no names to work with. Why is that? Me, the black magick using witch says that this is where all the coll smiting magick is hanging out. Names, we need Names and Images. Oh, wait, our dear brother Westcott gave us Names, but no real context; an unpublished paper that I have never laid my eyes on, just a kabbalah table.
If the Adept Hierophant does some book collecting, they can assemble a fair number of images for the Forty-Two Judges as the following gallery shows.

| All animal headed here. |
| One of my favorite forty-two judges. |
| Judging people until the very end. |
| Both name and image. |
| But too hard to read. |
| Simple, they are to judge. |
| Let's weigh that dead man's heart. |
Built a study book. From bits of the Papyrus of Ani, Budge (Nu), and the Ptolemaic period.
Thankfully, only special Adepts have to do this type of work, not everyone in the Order has to ski on those mountain slopes.
