Wiccan Open Full Moons taken over by 2025 Golden Dawn study group

Image
Just in case, I wasn't clear in some of my previous posts, while the Wiccan Open Full Moons that we were hosting have been cancelled, the Golden Dawn study is still on. Isis always plays three games at the same time; it's not cheating. Yes, the remote and (if anyone shows up) local Denver study of the Papyrus of Ani as Source Code for Hermetic Golden Dawn is still happening. I did not cancel my project. Just Khari's. After all, she's the one that's investing in Dragonfest as if it's going to lead to new members. It won't. If it does, then she deserves to be elected Hierophant.  Sadly, my nearly thirty years of experience in the Denver's Wiccan event community tells me that Dragonfest people only do Dragonfest--nothing else.  They only have time and energy for Dragonfest.  And there are organizational meetings all year round, so it's an all year commitment. No, we just lost Khari as the next Hierophant. Hence, if I attract members who want to elect m...

Farewell Ozzy (Reading of the day) Sith Golden Dawn rebellion

Image
Occasionally, I practice biblomancy because I have books--and chaos in my blood. May Odin take you, Brother Ozzy. "The soul is grander than its creations. However profound its works written, or beautiful the pictures  printed; however  stately the structures erected, or life-like the statues chiseled, the soul is grander than them all. The soul of Dante, or Shakespeare, or Milton, was sublimer than their poems. The soul of an Angelo was nobler than St. Peter's: that of Mozart diviner than his music." From the essay, The Soul: Its Value --Rev. William Hutton. Then I learned that Brother Ozzy is dead, sad . . . he might be my rebel soundtrack. The other quote was from much dreaded Confederate Albert Pike. "The Rose  was anciently sacred to Aurora and the Sun. It is a symbol of the Dawn , of the resurrection of the Light and the renewal of life, and therefore the dawn of the first day, and more particularly of the resurrection: and the Cross and Rose together are there...

Book list up (Check out the page section for Golden Dawn Study Fall 2025 book requirements)

Image
Attention all students: Posted in the page section is the book list for the Fall 2025 Golden Dawn Remote and Local  Study Group . We meet once a month, starting in September. Look for a James Wasserman edition of the Book of the Dead. For those can, either in person here in Denver, or in astral form, starting September 6, 2025, I will be starting an once an month study involving books, going out in the studio, and performing a ritual, etc. Therefore, I will "heavy lodge study" on Full Moon Saturday  until the end of 2025. Whether I go past that point will depend on how much material that I have discovered, or response, or some other measurement.  I doubt Khari will be a real factor. She says there a desire to study, but she's banking on Dragonfest . . . and Dragonfest people get sucked into that Commitment Black Hole.  No, Walnut Community Church is now a cover just in case I make money as a esoteric teacher, nothing more . . . it's not to exist because I needed a sp...

Lunar map from Reagan era will solve criminal case (Author using RPG gaming tools)

Image
"Attention personal of International Lunar Police Force District House Thirteen, your boss says that the following is a moon map from the 1990s, possibly Dragon Magazine ." Here is a crime scene photo . . . thanks Homer. "Win a date with Homer Milton Dante, the cuddliest astromarine on the moon by solving what this moon map originally looked like before some gamer, a RPGer cut it apart." Looks like it was originally four printed pages . . . if it was a magazine . . . fair bet. Whether it was Dragon  is the question. Between the comic book store, later that Barnes and Noble's newsstand, I brought a lot of non-D&D (Dragons and Dungeons) magazines. Science fiction.  Some Doctor Who   related, so this could be from that strange world.  Or not from a legit press at all, but some artifact from the Small Press/ Amateur Press world. It could be something from one of those old gaming APAs (Amateur Press Associations). But given the print quality, I am guessing legiti...

August 2025 Open Full Moon cancelled (All other OFMs also axed) Sorry for attempting the experiement

Image
Let it be declared from the East: The Hierophant of Bast Temple has cancelled August 9, 2025 Open Full Moon. Reason? It's too close to the end of Dragonfest. Which is important. I am never going to get this ever again. Because Khari believes that Dragonfest people are going to sign up for her classes.  Basically, cutting me out of the teaching loop, right? No one from that crowd will be Thelemic or Hermetic . . . or anything that I am selling . . . it's a waste for me, simply the wrong audience bucket. But Khari insists that the business has to go this way. Because the pottery artist slash witch knows best. Not the Confidence Artist who has dreamed of owning an occult shop and esoteric school since 1984--no, it has to be her--and her ever random whim that has to be the correct business plan.  The amount of work that woman has made me trash over the years. And here I am again . . . no stable event schedule because Khari demands having my business have Stop and Go Scheduling to ...

Suggested book list for upcoming Golden Dawn study course 2025 (Inner and Outer Order) Back to my RC retirement

Image
Here is the suggested opening reading list for those taking part in the upcoming study program for both Outer and Inner Order of Bast Temple Fall 2025 Golden Dawn course. The Egyptian Book of the Dead--or Coming Into the Light. Our preferred edition is the 1890 facsimile edition . . . the secret RC Mathers version. Consider this book as a correspondence course for Outer Order members. If we have to consult one of the Hermetic rituals, here is our Holy Bible of GD texts. But let us not forget our origin story . . . our real birth story . . . down to the studs. The Holy Cipher--could you read a secret love message sent to you? No? Bad GDer! Your classmate Anubis says that he is not going to do any of the reading. Yeah, some people have memorized this like a Wiccan magical script--horrors!!! It is a good news, bad news situation.  What do you want to hear first? Good news? Or bad? Well, given that they are the same . . . . on Day C, it was with great sadness that Past Hierophant Morga...

July 12 Open Full Moon last one of season (sorry all other OFMs cancelled) By command of Khari more or less

Image
Announcement: The July 12, 2025 Open Full Moon Saturday will be the last one of 2025. Witches will fly before I will ever do another OFM, I swore. Khari came back from camping, and the Dragonfest meeting, announced that we were delaying the August 9, 2025 Open Full Moon because Dragonfest attendees were unlikely to attend . . . okay, no, it's cancelled. Once we go down this hell road, we are hostage to All. So this also means that September 6, and October 4, are cancelled, for similar reasons. Oh, my favorite--November 1, an actual sabbat--cancelled--because remember you have to reserve sabbat dates for actual coven to work privately on--no public events, that's an no-no. So, Khari loses her Day of the Dead event--hehe, too bad, everything must burn. And finally, that Yule Ornament Workshop on December 6--yes, that's right--cancelled!!! Now, Khari does not have to worry about work conflicts, or her health, or needs of her friends. My stupid occult shop idea, or was it my d...

Buddha Recovery Bay (Meet the patient Ensign Lady Magpie) Back to the New Egyptian Space Empire

Image
For those who have been following the Cloud Weather Station Drama, yesterday bird sighting in the Buddha Worship Lounge, was an slightly wounded female magpie. Best chair for keeping an eye out for that evil Hood Cat, Blue. My intent in moving the chairs was to make a clear line of sight between the kitchen window and the Buddha station--in front of which I placed a bowl of water.  Don't judge me, for my mixed pagan magician beliefs and practices. Turns out that the arrangement was bad for human vision. But I was loading the dishwasher, and that might have been more important. Because I want to go write science fiction, and the kitchen being a mess is going to stop the Flow at some point.  I am a Virgo Sun, Cancer Rising, Scorpio Moon, with a Leo Mercury . . . my only Fire.  To say that I am overly "anything" is probably an understatement. It was slightly better when I still had my Demon; I had distance between me and the emotions. Now, I am at the center of the bloody cr...

Cloud report (Worry about my own safety)

Image
Yesterday, I laughed about putting Dead Rich in Lightning Danger. Then there is me . . .  Looking up, what do we see? There be rain clouds here. Look, clouds. Nothing better to do. Give me a camera. Nice picture. Headed towards the east. Can you see the magpie in the corner? Hide birdy, hide from the hail.

Born into the American Dream (My rather dodgy profession) How I got inspired to own an occult shop

Image
Some people are born farmer's sons in America; some are the nephew of Gardnerian Wiccans--and imagine that in 1965 Nebraska . . . yeah, I was born demonic. My witchy aunt represented America to me. My aunt, Victoria Josephine Ramalia, declared me, a reincarninated witch, just like herself. She hated children--yet loved me. This mystified my mother. I loved my aunt.  One of my prize possessions, the first thing I made sure to recover the one time I returned home for Christmas after my military escape, was my Red Piggy Bank that she gave me. A ruling question of my childhood was "Why can the Christians have their Ten Commandments at the county courthouse; and not us, our Horned God?"  At age thirteen, I consciously chose the religion of witchcraft . . . in part to be like Vickie. Then in my freshman semester of high school, my aunt got murdered.  And my family, in their grief, blamed it on her religion. I got broom closeted. Satanist. That is what my religion became. And my...
